ASD/Autism Fundraising We Need Your Help!
ASD/Autism Fundraising-Autism Stem Cell Research is part of the goals and objectives of World Stem Cell Institute to create a better quality of life for ASD/autistic children. We are not government funded and all costs are bore by World Stem Cell Institute from donations and therefore we need your help so we can help the children.
1. To help provide funding for ASD/Autistic children in need of a stem cell treatment to better their quality of life but can’t afford the cost for a treatment.
2. To purchase the laboratory equipment, reagents and staff to complete the research and clinical trials required to bring a new cell line to the Children.
• The prevalence of autism is about 1–2 per 1,000 people; the prevalence of ASD is about 6 per 1,000, with about four times as many males as females. The number of people diagnosed with autism has increased dramatically since the 1980s, partly due to changes in diagnostic practice; the question of whether actual prevalence has increased is unresolved.
• The use of adult stem cells addresses a number of areas of misdirected metabolic function. At present, clinical research studies have shown changes in immune, gastrointestinal and inflammation markers and function. The “typical” ASD patient have experienced positive changes in perception and cognition, along with fine motor skill enhancement, GI distress and response to illness has also improved but does not address the genetic aspect of the disease. With a new cell line we believe we can improve the outcomes and address the genetic component of the disease as well.
